Art Connective is thrilled to announce the three artists who have been selected to receive a grant to access the online Building Block Courses!
Each of them will receive free access to all five online courses. They will be able to learn at their own pace in the comfort of their home. The courses are designed to help artists of all levels navigate what is required of them as a professional.
Creating the artwork is the fun part but there is so much more that goes on behind the scenes. Once you decide you want to earn a living and make income from your artwork you are now venturing down the road of being an entrepreneur. Unfortunately, there is no road map on how to do that, until now!
Each course was created in sequential order to help artists build a strong foundation for their practice. It took me years to gather all the information I needed when I launched my encaustic practice. Much of what is being provided to artists is bits and pieces making it difficult to know what is important and what isn't. I kept seeing opportunities that I wanted but didn't have my building blocks in place. When I applied I was scrambling to pull all the requirements together.
I would become overwhelmed and frustrated and just want to get the forms completed. Little did I know I still had a lot to learn and implement within my practice. For each artist that is different.
It could be figuring out what type of artist you want to be.
It could be figuring out a pricing structure that makes you money and is easy to understand.
It could be writing about your art and yourself.
It could be how to present your artwork in a professional manner so it compliments the piece and doesn't take away from it.
Each of these is essential to becoming a professional artist. When you don't take the time to dial each of these in you will miss out on opportunities when they present themselves to you.
I invite you to join the three artists on their journey of learning and growth and follow them on Instagram. I will be checking in with them as well and sharing their progress.
If any of what I talked about above resonates with you, then you are in the right place. It is time to gain knowledge and understanding so you can become more confident, professional and have control over the direction you want your artistic business to go.
